Northcott Capital’s founder and chief executive has over 30 years of
international banking experience, with nearly 20
years specialising in the natural resources sector.
Steve’s formative career was in investment banking, working in a number of
financial institutions in the City of London.
He moved into Natural Resources in 1996 whilst at Kleinwort Benson and
subsequently spent time in both Sydney and New
York.
He latterly worked for Unicredit and then WestLB where he undertook the
challenging role of Global Head of Metals &
Mining. At WestLB, he was instrumental in reinvigorating the bank’s global
presence and completed a number of
ground-breaking transactions at the height of the global financial crisis.
In 2011 Steve co-led the MBO of Endeavour Financial and became managing partner,
leaving to form Northcott Capital in
early 2014.
